There in the ground, His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine –
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
Hello! Good evening, my friend. How’re you doing? Welcome to this week’s edition of The Jesus Therapy Seven. It’s my earnest prayer that as we seek to know God more, our lives will take the perfect form necessary to fulfil His purposes, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. - John 12:32
Our Response to the Resurrection: Look and Live
I have always asked the Lord to give me the right words to communicate His love to others. Most times, I’m short of words. I wish they could see how much my heart burns for their souls to be saved. Before men can ask to be saved, they must see the light. The light of eternal hope. That convicting light. Saul saw it on his way to Damascus. The men who were saved at Pentecost saw it. The jailer in Acts 16 saw it and this conviction propelled him to exclaim, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
The message of salvation and our testimonies as witnesses to His resurrection with the evidence of a transformed life can bring men to their knees. It may not be well-thought-out words or elaborate exegesis, but a word, fitly spoken as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Charles Spurgeon described his conversion beginning with his inquisition on how he might be saved. One day, he walked into a little Chapel and the text was, “Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 45:22). The preacher barely pronounced his words rightly, but there was a turnaround that day.
The Preacher thundered:
My dear friends, this is a very simple text indeed. It says, ‘Look.’ Now lookin’ don’t take a deal of pains. It ain’t liftin’ your foot or your finger; it is just, ‘Look.’ Well, a man needn’t go to College to learn to look. You may be the biggest fool, and yet you can look. A man needn’t be worth a thousand a year to be able to look. Anyone can look; even a child can look…
But then the text says, ‘Look unto Me.’ Many of you are lookin’ to yourselves, but it’s no use lookin’ there. You’ll never find any comfort in yourselves. Some look to God the Father. No, look to Him by and by. Jesus Christ says, ‘Look unto Me.’ Look unto Me; I am sweatin’ great drops of blood. Look unto Me; I am hangin’ on the cross. Look unto Me; I am dead and buried. Look unto Me; I rise again. Look unto Me; I ascend to Heaven. Look unto Me; I am sittin’ at the Father’s right hand. O poor sinner, look unto Me! Look unto Me!
He turned to Charles like he knew his heart, and said, “Young man, you look very miserable, and you always will be miserable—miserable in life, and miserable in death,—if you don’t obey my text; but if you obey now, this moment, you will be saved. Young man, look to Jesus Christ. Look! Look! Look! You have nothin’ to do but to look and live.”
“I saw at once the way of salvation,” Charles expressed.
Look, Brother. Look, Sister.
Resurrection is a call to look and be saved. As the serpent was lifted in the wilderness, so has Jesus risen for us to look unto Him, believe and be saved.
I’ve a message from the Lord, Hallelujah!
The message unto you I’ll give.
‘Tis recorded in His Word, Hallelujah!
It is only that you “look and live.”
Look and live, my brother, live.
Look to Jesus now and live.
Will you allow the Holy Spirit to persuade you of sin and your need of the Saviour?
Why should you die in your sin? Look and live!
Why should you die regretting the path you chose on earth?
This is a message of love, sister.
Will you exchange your life for His LIFE?
And accept His friends as your friends?
And His enemies, as yours?
His ways as your ways?
His cross as your cross?
His rejections as yours?
His victory, your victory?
May God bless His Word in your heart.
Till next time,
Wednesday, God willing.
Amennnn. Thank you so much for your prayer! May God also fill you more with His Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen. God bless you!🫶🏻
