These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
- John 16:33 NKJV
Good evening, my friend. How’re you doing? Welcome to this week’s edition of The Jesus Therapy Seven. I pray the Lord speaks to you as you seek Him wholeheartedly, in Jesus’ name. Amen
The heirs of salvation, I know from his Word through much tribulation must follow their Lord
The Lord brings times of refreshing in the middle of God-ordained trials. Contrary to the easy-peasy message that is popular these days, there’s a measure of trial to go around Christians who truly want to grow into the full stature of Jesus Christ.
If your life will amount to anything in His hands, He has to train you. Since Jesus is a high priest who can be touched by the feelings of our infirmities, He’ll often orchestrate times when we’ll be strengthened. Jesus knows how to minister to us in times of grief. When he was overwhelmed by sorrow in the garden of Gethsemane, He also enjoyed the ministration of His Father.
Since all that we meet shall work for our good, should the purpose of God halt because the vessels of His mercy are overwhelmed? Should the farmer renege on planting because the land is a virgin land, untilled and bushy? No, He makes the land ready for the season.
The wise builder will “dig deep” (Matthew 7). And God is not careless with His treasures. As a wise builder, He continues to dig and dig to take away every dross. He launches deep and takes away strategies, manipulations, hidden motives, hidden reliance on men, hidden idolatry and energies of the flesh. We must pass these tests, taking lessons for our generation.
In between these seasons, He doesn’t leave us helpless. He sends rain to wash over us — often. Like a faithful husband, He sanctifies and purifies his bride with water through the word. With each experience, we must be able to affirm the convictions of those who have gone ahead, not in theory, but now in practice.
We must be able to say like that king of old — If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you?
We must be able to say like Paul — I count ALL things but loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.
We must be able to affirm from the Psalms — I will lift my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and the earth.
As you go through these trials, winning this raging battle between the flesh and the spirit, the Lord sees your heart that burns in love to please Him. The Lord shall send times of refreshing. He will wash you with His Word. He shall speak peace to you. The fruit of righteousness shall be peace and its effect shall be assurance forever.
Those who trust in the Lord will never be disappointed.
Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.
The Lord is a sun and a shield. The Lord will give grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those that walk uprightly.
The Lord Cometh
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; - Acts 3:19 KJV
Times of refreshing are not just for our immediate ease. When Peter called the people to repent, He invited them to secure a place for the refreshing that will come when Jesus returns to rule in righteousness. A writer says, “The ultimate times of refreshing will be fulfilled when Jesus Christ returns in glory.” Is your place secure in Him?
Till next time,
Wednesday, God willing.
"Oh, Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth."🙌🏼
Truly a Refreshing Word from the Lord. May the Grace to do His Will, and to declare His Word in every phase of Life, be ours in Jesus name, Amen.
Thank You Jesus Therapy Seven. The consciousness of a Godly Life is everything we need now and always.
