Hello! Good evening my friend. How’re you doing? Welcome to this week’s edition of The Jesus Therapy Seven. It’s my earnest prayer that as we seek to know God more, our lives will take the perfect form necessary to fulfil His purposes, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
To commemorate International Women’s Day coming up on Friday, 8th March, this newsletter is dedicated to every woman whose heart longs to please the Lord in her womanhood.

The Woman, God’s Remedy
What is God’s design for the woman? Amid the campaign for gender mainstreaming, what is God’s purpose for the woman He has made?
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. - Genesis 2:18 KJV
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him. - Genesis 2:18 NLT
To MAKE means to form, construct, bring things together to create something, to forge…
God could not make a helper until there was a need for her. When he decided to make man a helper, he made one perfect for him, just right for him, suitable for him, one who balances him.
I always wonder what made the woman suitable. Like Adam confirmed her suitability, at what point do we say, “Ahan! This one is my kind?”
Perhaps there had to be a connection between her and the man. That connection was his rib. A part of him needed to be found in her to make her complementary to him. If she were made from the ground, nothing would have called out to him. “Deep will not call to deep.”
The rib is similar to the kindred spirit you feel when you interact with a genuine Christian. Somehow, you just perceive that “this is your kind.” So the man exclaimed, “At last! This is now the bone of my bone and the flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman because she was taken out of man.”
The woman was made because God saw a NEED, yet it was at His DISCRETION - “It is not good that man should be alone. I will make…” Some women get offended when someone derogatorily says they’re God’s afterthought. Far from that lie, I see God’s mercy towards man. Dear sister, God sees you as a solution to the need of the man.
How fulfilling to know that you were made to be a solution — to the man’s aloneness, and to the garden’s tending need. This garden represents our world today and its need for purpose-driven women in all sectors of the economy.
The Ministry of Helps
God is still in the business of using women who have found their place in His eternal programme. Even our Lord enjoyed this ministry. It was recorded that, “Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.” - Luke 8:3 KJV
Paul the Apostle encouraged the propagation of this ministry — “that older women may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.” - Titus 2:4-5 KJV
The Holy Spirit, Our Helper
Jesus models the ministry of helps in His gift of the Holy Spirit — “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—” - John 14:16 NKJV. Jesus saw the need; it was at his discretion; He graciously gave us the solution to our aloneness. The Holy Spirit best fits into all those titles the woman is addressed as — Comforter, Helper, Counselor…
Enter Into Your Calling
Whoever fails to understand God’s purpose for their creation will fall for the devil’s lie of rebellion.
Woman,
You were made to fit in perfectly
You are a round peg in a round hole
You’re not called to dance to discordant tunes
Rather, your presence brings the sync that is being longed for
You’re sober, grave, tender and responsible
Your strength doesn’t come from insubordination
You’re stronger when you align
Can you see the cloud of witnesses cheering us on? Can you hear them calling us to walk as they walked?
Sarah, Hannah, Deborah, Ruth, Abigail, Anna, Elizabeth, Mary, Phoebe, Joanna, Susanna and all women who came to the help of the Lord…
Prayer: Help me, Lord, to willingly offer myself for your eternal purpose.
